FAQ

Q: When should we arrive?

A: Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled session time. This gives you the opportunity make sure everyone's outfits and hair are perfect and ensures shooting begins on time!

Q: How many outfits should we bring?

A: These sessions are not scheduled for changes in outfits so that we are able to properly pose the family and children without rushing and provide you with all 40 minutes of shooting. If you'd like to book a multi-outfit and/or multi-location session, please contact us.

Q: Can we reschedule or receive a refund?

A: Spring Picnic mini sessions are special offerings that are temporary. Therefore, spaces are limited, and reserved slots are final. No refunds or rescheduling.

Q: What should we wear?

A: Solid colors are easiest to coordinate, but primary or complementary colors also look great and bring energy to the photograph. Dark pants or jeans with dark shoes give texture and visually anchor a portrait. When choosing color schemes, consider not only what looks best on you, but also what colors will look best on wall portraits and complement your home’s décor. An easy array of colors to choose from would be the colors associated with the season.

Too many accessories can be overwhelming, so we’d suggest keeping accessories to a minimum. Avoid elaborate hats, hair ornaments, and sparkly or costume jewelry to avoid distracting from the main subject, you.

Footwear: Avoid running shoes, white socks, and heavy footwear. Also, consider fashionable boots, sandals or bare feet for casual photos.

Q: How many people can I bring?

A: These sessions are lifestyle and families session, so between 2-6 people are expected to be photographed. You may have one additional person as assistance.

Q: Should I get my hair & makeup done?

A: We want you to feel beautiful and confident, whatever that may mean for you. Confidence radiates in photos, so choose something that will make you feel good and enhance your features. Professional makeup does help minimize blemishes and accentuate your positive features, so this should be kept in mind for photo expectations.

Q: Do you provide any post-production to the images in our viewing gallery?

A: Yes we do. Every image we deliver will be edited with our unique style of post-production, signature touch ups. This involves color correction, exposure adjustment, selective black and white processing, clarity adjustments, tone-mapping, and other corrections.

Q: What if I would like additional editing?

A: Signature post-production includes touch-ups such as removal of blemishes or dark circles, editing of fly-away hairs, etc. This is automatically included with all sessions. We do also offer Custom post production, which is anything that requires extensive, custom work in Photoshop such as removing entire objects from the scene, changing the size and shape of body parts or other objects in the scene, adding objects to a scene, etc. Custom touch ups are offered at an hourly rate as the time required ranges depending on the complexity of the project.

Q: Are the images high resolution?

A: Yes. We provide images with enough detail to be used as enlarged images(i.e. custom wall art, photo prints, enlargements, canvases). We also offer these additional services to clients as an add-on. Let us know if this is something you would be interested in.

Q: What if it rains?

A: In the rare case that it rains, we'll try our very best to reschedule, if not a refund would be considered.
