Welcome to the Hill! Meet Shaperlya, one of the nicest and sweetest people that you'd ever want to meet. This FAMU graduate came all the way from Jacksonville to shoot with us, so we were absolutely going to bring it!
Shaperlya wanted to begin her shoot at the iconic FAMU bushes, so we trekked on down the front of campus and got the equipment set up.
Shaperlya was a wonderfully bubbly person, graduating with a degree in psychology. We chatted about her post-graduation plans and her hopes to help people in her career as we did various poses in front of the bushes. I absolutely LOVED her orange dress, the color choice being right on the money. The sun was bright in the sky, and the only thing more lovely than her smile was her shinning personality!
We moved on down to most grad’s 2nd favorite spot, the eternal flame, and continued capturing the FIRE Shaperlya was giving us! (See what I did there?) Shaperlya seemed to be a natural in front of the camera, easily moving into pose after pose without much direction.
Next up, we got Shaperlya having some fun, tossing that cap in the air! We tried a few times with several angles because the wind was determined to block our greatness, but we were not having it! Shaperlya was a good sport, having as much fun as possible each time we tried the shot. Then, we got lucky and were able to capture a special photo of our grad with the president of the university! We love it when we can get those exciting impromptu shots, and Shaperlya was overjoyed!
Shaperlya kept serving up the goods in front of the eternal flame, and we kept snapping that graduate gold! FAMU’s campus is always a gorgeous place to shoot, and this warm summer day with its clear blue sky was an absolute dream. Shaperlya looked great in her alma mater’s colors, and her smile lit up each frame.
We then changed locations and headed on over to the newest grad favorite, the great new roundabout and signage near campus. Shaperlya changed into her more relaxed look, and we got set up for some more great shots! Shaperlya’s shirt was a perfect match with the sign’s colors, and hopped right on up there without hesitation. We captured shot after shot of Shaperlya having a great time, and we had a great time chatting with her as well.
