Maternity Session
Tallahassee, Fl
We LOVE maternity shoots! The love that is on display as parents celebrate their coming child always tugs at your heartstrings, and John and Neisha were no exception. We sought out a more scenic background for our shoot this time and found ourselves in the beautiful Piney Z Park at sunrise. Meeting up with this couple, everyone was all smiles and happiness as we introduced ourselves and started to adjust our lighting. Niesha wore a beautiful light dress that showed her baby bump with a gorgeous smile to match. John wore a matching color scheme, with plenty of good-natured jokes in tow!
We ventured out onto a finger of land in the dim pre-dawn of the morning, sure to capture the beautiful water of the lake in distance. John and Neisha were very comfortable in front of the camera and completely unabashed about showing their love for each other and their child. The beautiful sunrise in the background perfectly framed the warm and loving feel of each shot. Seeing this little family in its beginning stages made for such a beautiful morning, with the bright sun beaming on us all.
We took advantage of the amazing lighting of the rising sun to get some lovely photos of Niesha really connecting with her baby. Just taking those few moments for Niesha to embrace her pregnancy gave us some gorgeous shots to work with!
We grabbed a few more photos of the happy couple out on the finger of land, taking full advantage of the amazing rising sun. John and Niesha kept the love flowing and we were sure to keep the camera snapping!
Back inland, we finished the on-location portion of the session beneath the incredible trees of the park. The foliage was so amazing, we integrated the imposing trees into a few poses, unable to resist the beauty of the nature abounding around us. Next up, we headed back to our studio location to finish up this love-filled session.
Niesha changed into her second look, and we got her all set up in front of our black backdrop. We wanted to keep the surroundings simple, to just focus on Niesha and the little one growing inside of her.
Niesha gave us many beautiful photos to choose from, with the natural beauty of motherhood clearly radiating from her. We snapped several poses of her alone, connecting with her bundle of joy.
We finished the session with John joining Niesha in front of the black setting and sharing in the revelry and excitement. I felt little need to direct these two, their natural chemistry doing the direction for me as Ausbee captured one great shot after another. We wrapped the session that day so happy to see a couple filled with the excitement of a new life being created, and more than excited to share what we had captured... We can’t wait to meet the little one!
