Spring has sprung, and Summer is right around the corner, and this couple’s love story is sure to help heat things up!
This is Joseph & Brooke, a young, newly-engaged couple looking to celebrate this exciting time and announce their upcoming nuptials. They wanted to be sure to include references to the city where they fell in love since the wedding would be occurring in another state. Well, as you know we LOVE a good love story, so Shebee’s got this one in the bag! 😁
First, Ausbee and I met up with the two lovebirds at Cascades Park, near some of the well-known buildings constructed around the park’s perimeter. Ausbee and I had scouted for some great locales prior to meeting up, and guided the couple to the gorgeous lighting we’d discovered beneath the building. I guided Brooke and Joseph through a few simple poses, allowing them to get used to the camera while we discussed how the two had met. Joseph, the strong and silent type at first meeting, seemed to just be absolutely aglow at Brooke’s touch, and Ausbee was able to capture some adorable shots rather quickly. Next spot!
We head deeper into the park, grabbing some shots in front of the park’s iconic fountain/sign and then moved on down the pathways near the park’s amphitheater. Here, we again grabbed some cute photos of the two. Brooke & Joseph had specifically requested assistance with posing, so I continued to guide them through gentle posing suggestions as Ausbee captured the magic!
Next, we stopped near a conveniently placed bench and I grabbed the camera and a few photojournalistic-style pics of the two while Ausbee took a quick glance around for some additional lovely scenery. We snapped some romantic shots near a beautiful mural and wrapped this part of our session in the park. Brook and Joseph went to change clothes while we got set up at our next mini locale: atop Cascade Bridge.
Brooke and Joseph changed into more casual clothes, this time in a more fall-toned color scheme, to allude to their autumn wedding. The two canoodled while we snapped shots, this time just allowing them to interact with each other, without any direction from me.
It was really fun to watch the two of them just have fun with each other, and Ausbee was able to grab some pretty romantic shots, along with the always-necessary ring shot!
I couldn’t help myself from making one suggestion, and got Joseph to give Brooke a twirl while Ausbee snapped away. A few spins and dips and the bridge was a wrap!
Done with all our mini-locations within Cascades, we headed to our final locale to capture what were my favorite shots of the day. Ausbee and I had worked hard in our scouting to deliver on representing the city where these two fell in love, and this location was our pièce de résistance! Brooke and Joseph were thrilled at this “hidden” gem, having never seen this before in the city. This spot didn’t really require any lighting setup, so Ausbee and I took turns both posing and shooting as soon as the two fiancés arrived.
We finished up the session with a cute little recreation of their proposal, and had a few final words to thank Brooke and Joseph for trusting us to show the beautiful love they have for each other. We can’t wait to show the lovebirds their beautiful photos, and we hope you enjoy viewing their charming love story. Until we see you again! ✌🏾😉
